This is a one week group project with Stephanie Willemsen and Nicolaz Scholz in first year of RISD Industrial design. The Goal is to use an 80'' X 48'' single sheet of corrugated cardboard to design a chair for children age of 5-10 that can support at least 70 pound.
Our design started with a interesting monster shape and utilized majority of the cardboard. The teeth on the chair were not only for the look but also an important locking mechanism to keep everything in place. We did a test and let childrens to play with it. It atrract the children with the interesting shape and prove it can easily support a children.
