Bikepacking the Costa Brava

After having done some bikepacking trips abroad, on routes wich where made by other people I decided it might be time to put together my own route here at the Costa Brava where I live part-time and know the roads really well. I ended up building a loop out of Girona, one of the cycling capitals of the world, visiting some nice nature, beaches and villages from the region. The route can be adapted to gravel, bikepacking and even E-bikes with stops at campings to recharge the batteries at night.

This is a video I shot during the recon of the tracks for the trip. It is just some raw footage from the gopro and osmo pocket, no additional colourgrading or elaborate editing. It is just a small movie to give an idea about the route and the tracks, this one includes some nice singletracks but if ridden on narrower tires, the track can be adapted to more racy gravel bikes

Perfect gravelroads near Llagostera, but if your bike can handle it, there is also more adventurous singletrack to be found
In Rupia you might have the best Pan de Coca in your life, if they still have some left at the bakery
Calela de Palafrugell a touristy ex fishermans village

Flying over the coast between Playa Castell and Calela de Palafrugell, the route let's you visit some of these beaches and take a singletrack or 2 in the woods
