PRIVATE COMMISSION 2011
Compressed charcoal on 600 gsm paper 200x300 cm
The work was commission for a private house in Sydney's middle harbour area.
Set high above a large natural bay, with little visible construction, the site sits in wonderful contrast to the high density of the city surrounding this area of Sydney.
The work is a translation of the view from the house and serves as a reflection and reminder of the uniqueness of this site. The work is intended as daily dialogue with the landscape beyond and with the clients as they move in around and outside of the building.
