It's A Wonderful World- A Children's illustrated storybook on Mindfulness
Project Brief/Background:
The brief for this project was to design a visual narrative for primary school children to encourage them to practice 'mindfulness' and make them realise and appreciate the beauty of every small thing that we do or practice. This exercise was done as a small step towards encouraging today's youth to incorporate the practice of mindfulness instead of endless hours of screen time in their lives.
Project Goal:
The end goal for this project was to create the visual narrative in the form of an illustrated children's book that revolves around a child's day in her everyday life and how us as humans should learn how to realise the beauty of the world around us and appreciate it more. For the narrative, I chose to write a poem with primary school children as the target audience and the illustration style would be simple and cartoonish to engage the children better and convey the message in a way that is more relatable and understandable for the children.
