This is a mural realised in November 2018 in Valle de Bravo, Mexico.
It is the interior of one of the cabins of El Encinal, a very interesting place born from the mind and the hands of the Canadian artist Victor Klassen ( http://victorklassen.com.mx/ ).
He designed the wall and told me to paint in the space of concrete between the logs. So, having just one week to complete it, I started painting, freely inspired by the yarn paintings of Huichols (indigenous people of Mexico with a rich artistic production imbued with color and symbolism), the already existing wooden pieces (above all the woman body), the actual cracks of the wall and the original look of the big trunks of white cedar and elephant-ear tree (parota / huanacaxtle) present near the window.
The result was this evocative homage to the creative power of nature.
Last, I want to thank Emma Shih Mendez, without whose help it would have been impossible to complete the work in such a little time.
