A meeting is an encounter, a get-together, a coffee talk, a gathering. "Contrast meets Creativity meets Word meets Waiting" is a two-part book that deals with the gathering of contrast, creativity and design. Divided into a theoretical and practical part, design meets contrast, contrast meets creativity and creativity meets two books.

The first book explores the meaning of contrasts, where and how they emerge and how they are used in design. The book is a guide for creatives with the aim to learn about contrasts and how to use them for creating new creativity. Several examples of contrasts are shown and explained.

The second book visualizes the use of contrasts on the basis of the philosophical conflict of a young designer with his previous life and his upcoming goals. The topic of waiting plays an important role within the content and design of "Word meets Waiting". Personally experienced contrasts are described in the ascent of Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, the cultural differences and their own physical limits. By using creative and stylistic contrasts, the work breaks through the boundaries of conventional book design.
