DJ Hype and Pascal present the EP ‘Midnight Funk’ courtesy of Portsmouth's finest – Lynx. Stepping up to the plate in true style over the last few years, Lynx smashes all expectation with his new Real Playaz outing. Opening with the fat synths and heavy bass of Vitamin Germ, Lynx takes you through his prime selection of bangers which are filling the sets of some of DnB’s elite. Title track Midnight Funk does exactly what it says on the tin, getting you reaching for the lights way into the early hours with an underlying funked up bass and a heavy kick. Micro hits the sweet spot between tech frenzy and stomping dub, a hectic chorus of snares quickly moulding into a dark grinding drive, proving the producer isn’t afraid to hold any punches. A last track cooldown, Lynx sprays on the sinister groove of Bobby Says – set to surprise and haunt dancefloors throughout the UK.
