Forever Blue Skies

My intention is not to make 3D image neither to go through the way of designing to create
visual illusion of three dimensional object in any way.

I usually draw objects in obvious two dimensional space on the flat glass digital surface or
drawing on my desktop computer and trying to keep the impression of the used themes in 2D
of the vector graphics and most of the time to keep image simple enough to be precise
with lines building up structures of my artwork when
I am speaking about the perception of the whole illustration and composition
never to look like it is a three dimensional object...

but in some cases I do this on purpose and draw and construct 3D object without any
3D software or without any designing method to achieved real 3D result
but to made an impression of it -
based on pure vector as I did it with the eye of the grey alien portrait in this illustration.

This is far more complicated in terms of pure drawing rather then to make 3D object.
It is the contrast of the even surface of the line imagery on the alien skin and
the sudden 3D effect I obviously drew just as the same as I did the rest of the line density
with the face parts, but here in the eye of an alien
I decided to show the blue sky reflection with the sun it self and gradient
of the blue colours to separate fragments of the sky landscape in the alien eye.

The line maze - it is the scale and blue colour
so as from the close up you could see no diference between the lines in the eye
and the lines on the rest of the illustration.
That is why in this illustration I decided to make the alien eye and the rest of the grey face
this particular way by drawing just lines in proportion to make this image.
