Putting an Anthem In Action
At a charity event, Hootie & The Blowfish drummer, Jim “Soni” Sonefeld was honored with a performance of the band’s breakout hit “Hold My Hand.” He was so moved by this reinterpretation of the song — performed a capella by the acclaimed Benedict College Gospel Choir, he set about getting this new version recorded. His idea? Transfer artists’ rights, and thus all proceeds from the sale of the song, to benefit the working poor.
The project was placed in the eager hands of Riggs Partners, gifting us the challenge of turning one song into something much bigger.
