As an insurance brokerage company, Surexs faced fierce competition by brokers of many sizes; however, most of them still operate as 20th century companies: relying heavily on paperwork, phone calls and face-to-face interaction. This causes the service to be slow, unreliable and convoluted; which in turn ends up being a costly operation. Because of this, Surexs envisioned having a technology-first approach by digitalizing and automating most of the processes they managed: from quotes and customer accounts to insurance policies and incident/request administration.

Our first goal was to design and build the technology related to this automation and digital transformation phase. However, the first branding fell short of the ever-growing number of interfaces, marketing materials and elements within its ecosystem. For that reason, Surexs requested a third-party to rebrand their company; unfortunately, the effort delivered an incomplete logo and no additional elements to work with. Our design team realized the brand had potential so we came in and overhauled the whole thing, first by achieving a geometrically consistent logo and then by creating a brand concept that could scale with the company.

We chose a color palette that catered to a corporate market without losing its innovate and contemporary components. This is reinforced by organic textures that counterweight the highly technological imagery and minimalist iconography to keep an appearance of simplicity. Additionally, in the search of an authentic and fresh look, we worked with Surexs' team to take real photographs of their team and environment, which were used in the website.











Our work, however, was not limited to the rebranding and website of the company; it went deeply into their operation and the way they interacted with their clients. Our team built and designed a huge platform that automated their whole operation: a web dashboard for Surexs' employees and clients, and a mobile app that allowed the end-user of insurance policy to have everything they need at hand. We focused on building a amazing, yet simple experience for the users, without compromising functionality.
