In this project, we undertook a design sprint focussing on problem definition and
ideation, in order to examine the onboarding process at EY and to propose improvements.
‘Onboarding’ is the process of welcoming new employees into an organisation and helping
them to adjust to the social and performance aspects of their new jobs. Looking specifically at an employee’s experience of the first 100 days at EY in Melbourne, and specifically in the digital team, this project asks: how might we improve the onboarding
experience for the EY digital team in Melbourne?
Our focus is based on the first pain point which is 'People feeling nervous on the first day'. This is a typical problem for most of the graduates. Therefore Our MVP will be a notebook which has the graduate's personal comic image on the cover. Inside pages have the introduction of EY& EY digital team, information of digital team members, a map of EY office and an on-boarding schedule of the first 100 days in EY. We also put the on-boarding schedule on EY's website, which has detailed information and also a matched loading bar. Besides the notebook and digital schedule, we also designed a mug and a calendar box. The notebook and mug are packed in the calendar box to be given to the new graduates as a gift on their first day.
This MVP aims to give belongings to the new graduates, to let them feel they are a part of the digital team, and also help them to know EY better.
