Basic product campaign imagery for MES Leather

Jonatan Staniec, working under his family brand MES estabilished originally by his father in 1988, is an artisan who creates high quality leather goods. All of his products are exclusively made by hand, without any use of machinery. Solely employing traditional sewing and cutting techniques and simple saddlery tools, Jonathan accentuates the details, as well as the tactile aspect of leather in general. He is also
an ardent advocate of reviving old concepts and adapting them to contemporary needs, often basing his goods on vintage designs. Whenever possible, he prefers to utilize components with history, as he's always keen to reclaim both hardware and materials.

In the same spirit, we've created a basic product campaign imagery for a series of leather belts made by Jonatan. Striving to encompass his core values, we've decided to place a pair of vintage industrial glove molds, originating from a french glove factory and made of high grade porcelain in the former West Germany, at the fulcrum of the composition. By adding a strong colour palette and a dynamic approach to light, we seek to render a theatrical and illusory, timeless dimension, playing with a subtle touch of kitsch.
