One of my favorite characters from Breaking Bad was Hank. This is part of a triptych still being developed. My goal was to play with dividing up the page and still retaining the qualities that make this character recognizable.

Being challenged with grids and layout in my design work, I wondered what the impact would be on illustration. I knew that it was possible and was modeled by Gary Kelley's work.
