M/V Umbra Rebrand
M/V Umbra is a built for speed support vessel, shadowing superyacht M/Y Rochade. Recently both vessels ported in Brisbane, Australia for extensive refitting by Aus Ships Group.
Umbra's refit included a helicopter pad and hanger/shelter for all water sport and diving craft it carries on board. During the yard period, Umbra also went under a logo rebranding.
Umbra meaning 'shadow' was not only to have its new identity referencing back to this but also its unique axe bow design and its purpose.
The final designs were a striking logomark and logo extension illustration. The logomark was a combination of the 'U' in Umbra and a trident (Posideon - God of the Sea). Whereas the illustration was a coat of arms for Umbra. Masculine and contemporary.
Designs were used on corporate stationery, crew apparel, vinyl decals and faceplate on the vessel.
