I love pomegranate. I love its mysterious and unpretentious character, looking as ordinary as an apple but containing little ruby arils like gems. Every time I cut a pomegranate, I'm amazed how perfect those little gems are placed.
In this project I wanted to use pomegranate arils as little ink balls. I had very limited control over their randomness, but that's what I liked in this illustration. The very first aril surprised me by covering a large part on the paper and on my face. I even covered the tree with a translucent paper but obviously they wanted to leave their marks on branches :)
Please feel free to appreciate and comment on the work.
thanks for looking :)
