Wolf/Spartan Helmet

Inrtoduction:

When I was first given this project, it was hard for me to choose what I wanted to do. Since I could do whatever I wanted, I did what I had been trying to do for a long while. I really liked the idea of making logos/icons to put on something like clothing, stickers, etc. I looked at some work from other people and got my inspiration. Then I started doing little sketches of what I might do.
Sketches:

Sketching was hard to do at the beginning becuase I already had a good idea as to what I wanted to do. The only hard part was to try to do some sort of shading within the icon. The reason that I wanted to do that was because I wanted to do something different that what most Graphic Designers do.
Inspiration:

For my inspiration, I looked very deeply in behance at other people's projects that looked like the way that I wanted to do mine. There are a lot of projects that caught my eye but here are the four that are the ones I used more for inspiration.
Drafts:

Since I already knew what I was aiming for, I didn't have many drafts. The only things that I tried changing were minor. For the spartan logo, I tried making it wider instead of skinnier to see if it looked cool. For the wolf logo, I tried connecting the eye to the nose so it would look more like an eye but I didn't like the way that it ended up looking like.
Final Drafts:

For the spartan helmet, I made a black version and a color version. For the color version, I decided to choose the colors that made it look a little more realistic. For the wolf logo, I made a few more final drafts because they all looked cool. I made a version that has a fill inside of the original wolf logo, and made two versions of this version. I made a black verson and a color version. I also made a version that has a stroke outlining the inside of the wolf making the teeth more noticeable. This was also a black verson of it. Lastly I made the original version in black and in white. Something that I learned while doing this project was how to use the Pen tool on Adobe illustrator. The reason I had to learn ho to use it was because that is how I made my logos. I just used the Pen tool to make the whole thing.
