Summit on Human Dignity Poster
In order for one to understand why Robert, my partner, and I chose do this poster, you have to know what the summit is. The summit is a Brophy College Prep. event that spreads awareness about a certain social problem each year that the US faces in today's world such as immigration, war, and this year's health issues. We did this poster to represent what health is without being to obvious about it.
In this part, I looked for similar work that related to health or artwork that I wanted to imitate.
In this section of the project, I had to think about what I wanted to pursue as I moved on.
While Robert and I worked on our poster, people started to give us some feedback on what they liked and what they didn't like in our poster. The majority of the critique was about the microscope. They said that it looked to compacted together and made it look weird. so what we did was make it more simple by using simple shapes to create it. We separated it in different sections so that it looked like a microscope but wasn't to close together. There was also critique on or font and the way we used it on the poster. We decided to add a Vital Signal Monitor Symbol to the font as to make it better.
When I see this poster, I think of health and/or doctors. For this reason, this poster is a good example of health overall. Since we were asked to not make the poster related to anything shady or dark about health, I think that this poster does a good job at making sure that the message given out by it is neutral. It looks good and its design is very simple, which makes it look better since their are no details to take away your attention from the message that its suppose to portray.
