For this project I tried to think out of the box because Iwas avoiding having to do the same thing as the majority of my classmates. Iknew that what I wanted to do is something basic that I could relate to but atthe same time be interesting to my audience. The first thing that came to mindwas the train because its something I use on a regular basis yet most of myclassmates cannot relate to it reason being majority of them have never been onone. From there onwards I realized that it would be something very interestingto illustrate. I planned to show what goes on in and around the train at themost busiest times of the day for the transport department which is in themorning and evening.
Judging from talksand interviews I had with classmates I realized that majority of them feartrains because of the stories and rumours they’ve heard and movies they’ve comeaccross relating to trains. I was pondering on how I was going to illustratethe subject matter but I knew that I wanted to have a dark feel to my illustrationssince I find these particular type of illustrations to be interesting and sincemajority of the people I know are scared of the train I thought it would beappropriate to illustrate it in the dark manner of their thoughts.
