This is Sam. Sam has a cute bob/afro. Sam represents the user. And Sam makes several guest appearences in many of my client friendly simplified IA diagrams.  

In my work, it's important that the entire team - client included, understands the inner workings of a proposed design. Therefore, along with more detailed and technical deliverables, I often produce and present these easy to understand flows specifically for business clients.

These low fidelity diagrams don't represent/ replace complete technical flows. Instead, they serve as a suplemental aid in highlighting some of the major feature functionality within a site.
