The Lonely Chair Project

The Lonely Chair Project
Given one title, the project was to create three different movie posters from three different genres. This process included creating a narrative and understanding the message behind the design. A narrative, essentially a story, helps the audience relate to the design. It must be clear and concise.

I used design research and concepts as a foundation for this project. I had to understand what style vs theme was and used that to create original, memorable, and professional designs. There wasn't a right or wrong way to do this, but the design had to relay the intended message.
The Lonely Chair Project - This is the first of three designs. I used the drama genre for my inspiration. The story is about a judge that must go against an already corrupt system to condemn the politicians that use the law for their own benefit. Fearing for her life and the lives of her family, she must do what she knows is right, even if she has to do it alone.
The Lonely Chair Project - This is the second of three designs. I used the horror genre for my inspiration. Two sisters. Both know what happened and both are determined to exact revenge on the one person that separated them by death, their father.
The Lonely Chair Project - This is the final poster of three designs. I used the romance genre for my inspiration. The female lead is bound to a wheelchair because of a horrible accident. She meets the lead male character and he is determined to help her love and live life to the fullest, but not without her kicking and screaming the entire time.
