The Parkers of St James's

Sunday 16th September saw the launch of the beautifully illustrated,
privately published children's book The Parkers of St James: Miranda Comes to Town,
at a glittering party at the ICA. Both children and adults alike were enthralled
by the energetic narration of the book by the performer Kerri McLean.

redcow worked in close collaboration with the book's author John McLaren,
and illustrator Adam Relf, to design and art direct the stunning 96 page,
cloth bound, foil blocked, hard backed publication.

John had written the book as a gift to his 4 year old daughter Miranda,
the inspiration behind the feisty, same-named red squirrel heroine
of The Parkers. Judging by Miranda's face on being presented with
her copy of the book at the launch party, she was just as delighted with
the end product as we were.
