Typography // Book Covers

The concept behind this typography project was to create three dust covers that have been designed with three different age groups in mind.

The Helvetica cover, had three layers, each one adding to the design, the concept was to showcase how if the layers are removed and only the word Helvetica remained it would still be aesthetically appealing as Helvetica is a hero in it's own and can stand alone.

The concept behind the Walter Benjamin cover was to showcase how through mechanical reproduction, art has lost it's aura. In order to represent the glitch that mechanical reproduction has caused I have added a glitch effect to the cover.

The Roald Dahl cover was based on the book The Witches, I kept the design simple in order to allow children to create their own 'bright side' on the cover with the glow in the dark pen that has been attached to the cover as most children's story have a bright side.
