Twitter Tunnel
Visualize how ideas spread across Twitter with time
Twitter Tunnel is a information visualization tool to show how tweets, URL, or hashtags are spread in Twitter. Each tweet is displayed as a dot and are connected if they are retweeted or replied. Each ring represent certain period of time. The further the ring are, the farther it represents back in time.

Twitter Tunnel allows users to study trend in tweets. E.g. a online marketer can search for certain hashtags and see the origin and identify key influencer.
The tunnel section displays the twitter tunnel visualization. The interval being displayed is rendered as text beside the Tunnel header. A node has dotted edges to its retweets, and a reply has a solid edge. The circles and numbers represent regular time steps which can be adjusted by the user.

Each set of retweets or replies is visualized as a tree on its own, placed in a timeline where the latest activity is furthest from the center of the visualization.
At the bottom of the screen, a histogram is rendered that shows the volume of tweets related to each search over time as a stacked bar chart. The user may select portions of the timeline tot display in the Tunnel visualization.
