Human Body is made of 72% of Water, 18% of Carbon and 10% of bad decisions.
BadFads is a publication about our relation with fads that actually hurt. Some of them we follow because we have no knowledge of their harms; others we follow despite of their harms — that is, we chose to ignore them. Going through historic harmful fads — such as radioactive cosmethics and the use of well known poison to brighten the skin — to nowadays fads, this book intents to show that we may be gathering more information, but we are not growing dumber or smarter when the subject is fitting in society and following what is cool. As bad decision makers, we keep on making bad decisions to ourselves no matter what. Designed to subtly relate to scientific papers, this is actually a satyre with pseudo-science and also to our quick belief in the safety of anything that has some “study” around.

The structure and grid of this publication has its concept on the sentence:

Some spreads have cut sections in order to interact with former spread. The area of interest becomes smaller as gutter and margins remain the same.
This grid enables to reinforce visually the idea of big damages caused by little things,as types chosen can follow the proportion of 10% of the page:
