The assignment for this project was to create ads for a local music festival, so I figured why not choose the biggest festival in CT, the Gathering of the Vibes. This concert takes place at a park right on Long Island Sound in Bridgeport, CT called Seaside Park, so my immediate thought was, "What are some things you would find in a park by the water?". The dog and the seagull were pretty obvious to me, and after doing a ton of research, I learned that white spotted owls also live there...owls in Bridgeport, who knew? Anyway, I wanted to show what good, hippy-ish music can do to animals hanging out in the area, and these are my vision...I also didn't want these to be "ads" so to speak, I wanted them to be multi-use pieces that could be used as an ad in a magazine or a poster on a bus stop.
