The Reflection Corridor
This is a landscape plan for No.9 High School in ZhengZhou, China.
The Reflection Corridor separates the main campus from the campus extensions. I want build a functional structure which serves more than just the purpose of separation.
The structure has to also house what the school believes in its philosophy, and display its rich history. More importantly, it has to provide a place for students and teachers to be comfortable to use.
The style of architecture is influenced by traditional Han-palace corridors, which has deep roots in the region the school is located in. The woodcarvings on the boards displays the vibrant history of the school and also its philosophical core values.
