Logo and intro design for Slumber Tales a kids TV show.  

Initial font trials. I wanted something fun and script in style and I knew I wanted to combine this with a simple san serif font.

A brush style font worked best with a friendly, rounded san serif for the logo's tagline. For the star and moon illustration the lower case c flipped looked like a moon. This ensured that the look of the moon fit with the font used in the logo.

Next I tried some colour versions. The first version used blues and yellows which looked promising but the logo needed a background colour to tie all of the elements together. The second version worked better with the addition of a dark blue outline. However, it wasn't quite there. Having filled out the blue background, adding more stars and changing their colour to red and white I felt that the logo was finally perfect.

This is the final version of the logo with a square format suitable for app icons or in Facebook profile images. 

Finally I designed an animated intro using flash. I wanted to keep this simple as the logo was detailed enough. The bedtime music was downloaded from orange free sounds which is an amazing resource for free music and sound effects. (Orange Free Sounds)
