Specifics:
Co-designed a workshop with Daniel Steele on soundscapes as they relate to urban pedestrian zones.

The first day, officials from the city of Montréal gave tours of three pedestrian zones that are undergoing major renovations. The second day, a series of speakers gave talks about various aspects of soundscape in the morning session. Then, in the afternoon session, I facilitated co-design sessions where employees from the city, urban designers, architects, urban planners, sound professionals, and people from various academic disciplines and professional backgrounds collaborated on creating potential soundscapes for three urban pedestrian zones in Montréal (Fleuve Montagne, Rue St. Paul and Rue St. Catherine).

Today, there is no established and authoritative world expertise on sound in pedestrianized areas (commercial or otherwise). We aimed primarily to reach Montreal’s urban planners and designers with a focus on knowledge co-creation.
