Carnival is a special time in Venice Italy Here people become characters they imagine. many true die hard individuals continue to build on their character and spend thoughts of euros on their costumes and learning mannerisms. I tried to escape the thousands of photographers the surround the various costumed characters in time with the carnival. I wanted to see the people not so much as a spectacle on show but as the person within taking that first step out into carnival. Hope you enjoy 2012.
