In 2008, we wanted to put together a marketing campaign that stepped outside of boundaries for music by developing a transmedia experience for our artist Spy For Hire and their album Speak In Numbers. This experience would be a story that was based around the songs. Connecting the different worlds of music with narrated story, ARG and animation in a different but logical way. The songs were to be not just musical wallpaper but writing the story itself. A reverse concept album if you will.
The experience would begin if you were to find one of the cards written with the word SIN on one side and a number on the other. If you entered the number into a .com domain or scanned the barcode on the front of the CD you would be directed to a website. Upon entering there would be a request for a passcode. The passcode Speak In Numbers would open the animation video below. The plan was to develop a animation story featuring each of the songs on the album. Alas, only the one was made due to the band breaking up.
