The Phoenix rises in the Old Fourth Ward in Atlanta, GA. A two story puppet was designed and assembled to celebrate communities coming together. We were asked to go through history and tell the story of how Atlanta has risen through the years to be a cultural hotspot defining segration. The Old Fourth Ward being at the forefront of Civil Rights and how one community deals with the challenges in growing and gentrification while looking forward into the future. This was part of the designed aesthetics of the visual projections that we improvised in the rain along with the audience, producer, puppetiers and composer on the evening of the event.
