L'ADUQ (Association of urban design of Québec) and the collective We/Art

Specifics:
Shot photography during a two week period to document the construction and evolution of the Place au Chantier project at the foot of the Wellington Tower and Lachine Canal in Montréal. Photos were used for social media and an onsite photography exhibit.

A collaboration between We/Art, L'ADUQ and Ateliers créatifs Montréal, Place au Chantier functioned as a temporary urban design laboratory for several weeks in July, 2016. Art directed by the French design firm Collectif Etc and We/Art, the project was a collaboration between several Montréal-based design teams and three artists in residence. The teams concepted and built a temporary installation, which became the meeting point for events and discussions. The site hosted conferences, discussions about art and urban design, music concerts, DJ's, and food trucks, and was open to the public throughout the conception and construction. Place au Chantier became a meeting place for urban design enthusiasts, artists, local area residents, families and several passers-by of all ages who stopped in to enjoy the events and environment.
