For this project i worked with a fashion student, and together we looked into our specialism to create a fashion project that reflects new technology.

Augmented reality codes
I started by working with these visual codes to see what was possible. After playing with the possibilitys i found that sound could be triggered and also 3d objects triggered.

Testing these codes out on a surface that wasn't flat was the next step, as they might ultimatly go onto the surface of a dress. As you can see by the video below the coeds work with minor issues.

Mary Huang created Continuum which uses processing to let anyone with a simple few clicks of the mouse create a dress for themselves. It uses point geometry to define where you mouse is to the define a 3D dress visualized in real time. This project is great because it gives everyone and anyone the opportunity to become the designer to take control of the fashion that is outputted.
