kinzoku no gundan (きんぞく の ぐんだん)(22th November 2010)
"Kinzoku no gundan" means "metal corps". I wanted it to mean something like "metal warriors", but I finally decided to use "Kinzoku no gundan" as a title just because how cool it is to pronounce.
This was my first art based on ukiyo e traditional japanese drawings. I wanted mix my personal style with the ukiyo e style. The result was good enough for me to consider to continue doing it.
By showing this drawing I tried to show again some stuff of my project "Random Tokyo Summer". which has japanese stuff, metal girls, science fiction and lots of cool animals.
The format I used on this drawing is kind of annoying. I agree. I just wanted to make an experiment.
I don't use to put flags on my drawings, I choose the Imperial flag of Japan on here just because I love how it fits on the middle.
