The Clif Kid Booth is a portable experience that is used at kid sport events and other kid events to create awareness with parents and children about Clif Kid's healthy organic snacks. The underlying message of the booth to the experiencer is the importance of being good to your body and your environment. Sampling of the products is achieved in fun ways: a spinning kid bike wheel, a tire swing coming off of a mini tree, sampling off of skateboard decks. The focus on the construction of the booth was to make everything disassemble easily to fit in a car and to be set up easily with 1-2 people. Repurposed and sustainable materials used in the pieces reflect the values and commitment of Clif Bar to taking care of the places we play. Eight of these booths were created for the Clif Bar Field Experience Team and used through out the US.

The challenge was to create a portable booth to drive awareness to this new Clif Kid brand, sample the products, tell the product story (organic, healthy snacks), and show the link between food and motion. One of the critical demands was for this booth to be a portable environment that can fit in a pick up truck bed (7’ X 5.5’ X 3.5’) and be set up with a couple of people. The design needs to allow for sampling the organic snacks at adult height and kid height. The booth pieces have to withstand weather conditions, be portable, durable, fun and have elements of discovery and education in unexpected ways. Pieces must have easily replaceable parts due to use overtime. Ideally want to use repurposed materials. The footprint we need to stay within was a 10’ X 10’ area. The experience needs to have educational elements about organic food, but not be preachy. Finally, we had to create this within a tight budget of $6,015/booth.
