Wild Planet Toys

Co-founder
Our vision for Wild Planet was to be the brand that kids found cool and that parents felt good about buying from. Our positioning was to create toys that encouraged adventure and exploration. I co-developed early business plan, created our product lines and rough packaging direction, and presented to the trade and to investors. I managed and implemented product design as a one-woman Design Department. Ran internal brainstorms, managed outside vendors, developed and maintained inventor relationships, created drawings for trade presentation and focus groups, created exploded view drawings and parts lists for costing, and developed layout drawings for prototype direction.
• I helped define entry to market position by designing first product line, managing early packaging and logo design, and presenting the brand for the first time to the buyers at Toy Fair.
• I researched trends and used information to inspire new product lines. Envisioned and developed the wearable gear, wearable tech, and spy positioning lines. Spy Tech line is still their number one line.
• I created rough prototypes and packaging strategy to communicate new lines to the marketing department.
