Interaction, Measurement + Product Experience Design

Pulse Health worked with our team to reimagine their Revelar breathing device brand experience prior to an international pilot deployment. The Revelar device quantifies levels of free-radical presence in a patient's breath.

Our cross-functional team worked on the brand/sound identity and the industrial design of the case, while I led the design group focussed on simplifying the unboxing/onboarding user experience for practitioners and their patients. This effort also extended to defining the measurement strategy, the core of the MVP effort release, designed to surface health improvement trends that could be recreated in future clinical trials.
Integrated teams reimagined the optimal brand experience for four audience segments. Interfaces included the product, admin console, and marketing site.
Defined flows + user stories
Created user stories for key tasks and charted unboxing and onboarding journeys for both practitioners and patients, on and offline.
Structured the organization of the public and private sites
Documented and maintained a ‘change log’ as MVP features were refined.
Built prototypes to test hypothesis
Low fidelity clickable prototypes allowed us to share and revise in a rapid fashion while defining functional specification requirements.
Outlined report strategy for MVP and beyond
Surfacing efficacy trends was paramount to pilot's success. There was a delicate dance balancing user’s goals (low effort) and the business need (detailed inputs).
Simplified visualization of patient data trends.
