The campaign to elect Elizabeth Warren as Massachusetts Senator in 2012.
I'm a big fan of Elizabeth Warren and the work she does. So when I was approached by her campaign to propose a graphic identity for the candidate, I jumped at the opportunity. The interesting challenge in creating any identity is to tell a story with the greatest economy. In this case, to capture the personality of the candidate who is both warm and personable while at the same time has a reputation for being tough as nails. To illustrate this, I chose to use her nickname "Liz" presented in a bold modern typeface. Informal but rock-solid. Conveniently, I was able to incorporate the election year 2012 into the name eliminating the need for another element.
