This is the gift given to clients from Breitling at Christmas. Design, pin-up illustration and concept were made in our studio in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The gift contents are : a wish card, a tin box full of delicious Swiss chocolates and a calendar. The idea for the cardboard box was to make something sturdy, made the same way as generic boxes used to ship tiny watch pieces, but add the contrast of craftmanship and luxury with a custom hot stamped copper pattern and copper staples. The challenge was to make a simple, compact box with the function of revealing items one after another to create a surpise effect.
The tin box is an art deco inspired design featuring key elements from the Breitling brand. A custom die has been sculpted to create a relief for the lettering and the stewardess.
Fabrication is made in Switzerland (hot stamped cardboard box) and China (tin box) in our workshops. The whole thing is assembled in Switzerland.
