The significant relationships and personal associations we form with the world surrounding us can also exist in the simplest of objects. These flowers, collected from the ground of a local cemetery, only have value when on the final resting site of a loved one. Beforehand, they are cheap, plastic and of little importance; after the wind carries them away from their intended location, they become litter. By documenting them for all time through photography, they inherit a level of subjective importance, regardless of quality or previous purpose.
