One day I received a heavy package at home with a Leica Camera inside, a leather camera case, a giclee print of my favorite artist James Jean and a collected edition of a Hi Fructose book.
Just an ordinary day...as usual....
No, no, just kidding! This was an amazing package from a client from France with the question if I could paint his camera case!
I loved this idea and of course I said yes.
The theme of the case would be 'the capricorn'. Now there are two different meanings to this word and as usual I digged into the subject. We went for the astrological sign instead of the mythical capricorn because
if you Google "mythical Pan" well...you know why.
Before I started to paint on the camera case itself I've tested my new set of Angelus paint on a leather sheet.
Of course I didn't want to make any mistake with this leather case. If I screwed up, I couldn't erase anything and the point was to let the leather be in it's original state. No full cover. So here we go.
