The product:
Uuni 2 is the world first portable wood fire oven, after a successful Kickstarter the company hired me to rethink and redesign its original product, the Uuni wood fire oven.
Development process:
As a designer for Uuni, I worked closely with the company CEO to develop the second version of this oven. We went through numerous handmade prototypes to push the design and usability of the wood fire oven as far as possible. Thanks to my CAD experience and model-making and prototyping skills we have been able to develop the product in-house before going to our manufacturer.
I have been the only designer working at Uuni for a couple of years and I was involved in the development process from sketches to manufacturing.
Customers’ feedback:
Although the Uuni 2 has been a great selling product we gathered as much customers’ feedback as possible and redesigned the oven to launch the Uuni 3 two years after the Uuni 2.
