This is a concept I had back in 2006 with a friend, before rice balls became more mainstream. I was thinking of how to create a healthy fast food restaurant. I thought you could look at a rice ball as a more healthy option to a hamburger. You could have all sorts of tasty fillings like organic ground teriyaki beef or vegetables. The brown or white rice becomes the bun replacement. I was trying to tell this story in a engaging way - this simple ball of food is full of nutrition and fun to eat.
