A very early proposed Lord of the Rings collectible plate series for The Bradford Exchange and New Line Cinema. This design was mocked up whilst the films were still being finalised and several images were not actually in the public domain when it was being designed. The image shows the whole panorama together but would actually consist of five separate rectangular ceramic plates. This is just the artwork, the virtual plate mock ups never actually went ahead due to New Line Cinema being too busy with publicizing the last two films of the trilogy. This dates from early 2003 and is very large in size, worked on full size the image is over 92 cm wide and each character is on a separate level as are all the effects, the backgrounds and border elements. I needed a large Mac with tons of memory for this!
