Over the last five weeks of my degree I amassed dozens of bits and scraps of paper with to-do lists, scribbled ideas, sketches and thoughts. Some were written while half asleep when an idea struck, some had been re-written several times or crossed out completely. While sorting through these notes and compiling into my sketchbooks I screwed them up as they were transcribed and threw them into a pile on the floor.
When I looked at them later I realised that they were evidence of the time that had elapsed. I decided to keep them in the glass water bottle I had been re-filling and drinking from over that period as a memento of the end of my time as a student.
