''The ‘Homerate’ app aims to provide students with quick and easy access to a vast database of student accommodation across the United Kingdom, to ease the process of finding somewhere suitable to live during their academic endeavour.
Utilising the technology of QR Codes (Quick Response Codes), Homerate grants users the ability to scan Estate and Letting Agent signs, to pull up a library of information on a particular house including images, information, pricing, and student reviews. Users will then have the opportunity to arrange a viewing with the associated Estate or Letting Agent.
The inclusion of student reviews provides potential buyers with a no nonsense approach as to whether or not they should consider renting a particular house. This unique selling point will make life much easier
for potential customers, who will be given prior knowledge of any faults that need
to be corrected, as well as comfort and assurance that they will be choosing a
suitable home.
Being a smartphone app, users will also have the opportunity to use location services to search for houses near their current location. Once potential houses have been identified, users can select any of the available accommodation, to pull up it’s contents and arrange a viewing with the associated Estate or Letting Agent. Homerate will focus on making a difficult task easy and approachable for all students, with ambitions of widening our market to all home buyers as the company grows with the success of our student app.''
