Quiet Moments at a Rodeo

Being a photographer I have a curious soul. Recently I moved out west to Arizona from the East Coast. Rodeos and western life in general are very foreign to me, but something I have a keen interest in. This collection of images was created at a local rodeo. In my mind I wanted to shoot this project in a different way than is the usual for this type of event. I chose to get up close and personal with the competitors shooting only with a normal focal length lens on the Leaf Credo 80 medium format digital camera system. Not only was it a thrill to be so close to the action, but I believe it lends a much more personal feel to the images.
