I'm proud to finally be able to show this project that we produced last Fall.  These pieces of collateral were created for PPG Trivex and their lens material product.  The agency Gatesman+Dave hired me to produce the two main images in studio to be composited into their background plates later.  We also photographed the eyewear frames and lenses that were used in the bottom right of the layouts and composited onto the faces in the lifestyle images within the smaller bubbles.  Shooting for composite we needed to match the lighting and angles on the talent for the background plates and their available light sources.  The shot of the woman on the beach for example was lit with a strong direct light placed behind her and too the right slightly... this gave us the wrap around that would match the strong light source of the sun in the existing background.  From there we used varying sized soft boxes to create our dramatic shadows and a gigantic parabolic reflector directly behind camera to be able to fill the shadows as necessary.

 

From there Creative Director Matthew Axeman was able to complete the layout and create the swirling bubbles in Cinema 4D.
