Manifesto Campaign
A project to promote logging off of social media and rekindling personal relationships.
A project to promote logging off of social media and rekindling personal relationships.
Objective
We were asked to pick (or write, in my case) a manifesto that interests us. Using the contents of that manifesto, we were to build a promotional campaign. My campaign was built out to include a poster, a brochure, buttons, bumper stickers, and a mobile app.
Solution
I decided to write my own manifesto about logging off of the various popular social media sites and “logging into” real life by fostering one’s meaningful relationships with friends and family. I wanted to emphasize the idea that this is what truly leads to liberation, and no image better represents that than the juxtaposition of a caged and free bird. I used the Twitter bird icon as the jailed bird to represent the constraints and limitations of over-using social media.
