La Bodega Negra is an exclusive cellar-level restaurant in Soho, London, that is hidden behind a storefront disguised as a sex shop. Farewell collaborated with renowned nightlife impresario Serge Becker to design custom neon signs for the storefront.
Soho was once the center of London's sex industry and the signs are a tongue-in-cheek nod to the neighborhood’s seedy past. Once installed, they proved to be controversial and the city fought to have them removed. La Bodega Negra fought back—and won.
